Welcome To the Daytime Activities


1.  WATER SPORTS
Try your hand at dingy sailing, canoeing or kayaking
No need to get wet - try your skills at staying dry
This activity will take you to the north of the Island to Cowes famous throughout the world for the Sailing Regattas in the summertime

2. 
WIGHTOPOLY RUN
A chance to see the Isle of Wight and have fun
A day of clues to solve and activities to try your skills out.
The day will take you in either a clockwise direction or anticlockwise direction meeting up for lunch approximately half way round the Island.  You will travel from the Camp Site to Ryde and Puckpool via Culver Downs and then on to Newport the Island's capital famous for Carisbrooke Castle where King Charles I was held captive prior to being beheaded.  From Newport north to Cowes then via picturesque Winkle Street to lunch stop at Corfe Scout  Camp Site.  After lunch you will visit Yarmouth where King Henry VIII built a castle and on to The Needles famous for its lighthouse perched at the end of dramatic chalk cliffs and rocks.  From this the most westerly point of the Island you will travel south east to Blackgang (which some might remember from last year) and after a brief visit to Niton and St Catherines Lighthouse, at the most southerly tip of the Island,  you will head for Godshill an olde world village famous for its Church at the top of the hill.  From here its home, back to Isle of Wight Venture Camp Site.
Your activities during the day will include:
Rifle Shooting  Abseiling  Digeridoo  Crazy Golf

3. 
HEADHUNTERS
A Laser Quest played in the woods.
A chance to get your own back on someone you've learnt to love or hate
Can you capture the flag?  Have you what it takes not to get caught?
Will you spend your time walking to and fro from the graveyard?
Can you shoot the enemy and stay alive?
Don't forget old clothes a necessity - it will be muddy!

4. 
VOLLEY BALL
Volleyball competition will be run throughout the weekend - No NOT football
Don't forget to enter a team oh yeah and Fancy dress optional for this event.

5. 
BOUNCY CASTLE
Compulsory activity -  What would a venture camp be like without  a Bouncy Castle

6. 
JUDO
Have you ever given this a go?  Many have but its still worth a go  -Have you the stamina after the night before?
